The brief:

This was an incredible UI project for possibly the most complex and deep mobile game I've ever worked on! I was tasked with creating the UI styling for a hugely complex fantasy game. It had to scream myth and magic and also house the deepest degree of features you could imagine.

The solution:

We settled on a dark theme that suited the setting using rich, bright magical colours to bring out all the important elements that the user needed to focus on. Due to the sheer intensity of the game structure these designs needed lots of prototyping and experimentation. Added to this the game was for both tablet and mobile so two very different versions of the UI had to be envisioned and created. Hugely complex but hugely gratifying too!

Orekol

These were a fun little bunch of characters to do! I haven’t been doing much in the way of illustration recently due to a huge influx of more design orientated jobs, I’m not complaining mind, but it’s nice to bring out the sketchpad again and create some funky miners!
