Confetti Special Effects
When the guys at Confetti dropped me a mail I was VERY interested. Confetti Special Effects is a think-tank for advanced real-time graphics research for the video game and movie industry and they’ve worked on lots of AAA titles due to their sheer awesomeness! So creating their new brand and site was going to be a total pleasure. The brand obviously needed establishing first, so the challenging task at hand was to create a logo that represented the essence of a particle system...not an easy task!
After quite a lot of groundwork playing around with shapes, objects and all sorts of visual effects to create a symbol, I finally landed on the idea of an ever cycling loop of colour. After a few iterations on this idea I soon struck gold! The guys loved the new brand and we were set and ready for the site! The had to showcase their work and also act as a platform for them to blog about their research. And with some kick ass demo’s to hand, creating the site was a smooth, simple and enjoyable task!
I was tasked with creating something contemporary, urban and very much in line with the world of vinyl toys (kid robot etc), but only in this instance, it had to be tied in with the company name Famous Couture, coming from the saying 'Making Jesus Christ Famous'. A tough but fun brief!
Ok, ok, boring I know, another Harrier Jump Jet...but they are sooo cool! This one is propped up like a toy in Manchester's wonderful Imperial War Museum, so I just had to shoot it.
