Haypi Pirates (Kingdom of Pirates)

The brief:

This is the 4th game I've worked on with Haypi and yet again it was damn good fun, this time it was on Haypi Pirates! As I already had a good working relationship with the team I was ready for what was to come. They wanted something that gave off the Pirate vibe and really set the games lovely visuals off.

The solution:

As the game was about pirates it was key to give this a good nautical feel, using old woods and metals throughout. I initially started work on the brand, as I always believe that the brand must be the anchor (sorry, bad pun) to all things that surround it, so with the brand set in place I moved onto the UI. It took a couple of iterations before we landed on the exact style that felt right, but once we had, the following user interfaces just rolled out very smoothly. Great fun.

Miner Wars

Being a fan of almost everything sci-fi related, when I got offered the chance of designing the new Miner Wars website I got somewhat excited...as I always do!

Slick Entertainment

Slick Entertainment, the guys behind the Xbox 360 version of the classic N+ and the new, and rather awesome looking Scrap Metal, knocked on my virtual door and asked if I’d be interested in working with them on their new site...silly question really.
