Hydra Games

The brief:

This was project number 2 for the guys over at Hydra Games. This time it was for their developer site, their platform to launch their all new ‘Chivalric Warfare’. The site had to allow Hydra to grow and have an ever expandable design that would allow them to adapt to each of their upcoming games and growing community.

The solution:

The elements that had to be retained from the previous site were the logo and red hues, other than that, I had free reign, awesome! After recently creating the online interface and web presence for their new game, Chivalric Warfare (you’ll see that here very soon, it was an AWESOME project), I had a good idea of what they would want for their corporate site. I decided to play on the origins of the brand and give the site a rich, warm and historic feel, making the site feel welcoming and giving it a notable presence. To add to this, the site had to be infinitely expandable, so a solid grid structure was created to allow Hydra to grow and expand to any given requirement or change. I absolutely loved this job, Hydra were a pleasure to work with!

Unnamed Project

This was a lovely little project that was destined never to be. So I thought I'd bring the characters out of storage box.

The Web Designers Idea Book – By Patrick McNeil

Back in 2007 I was approached by Patrick McNeil from none other than the very popular design site, Design Meltdown, to appear in his book ‘The Web Designers Idea Book’ in the ‘black’ themed section, that was due to go on sale in late 2008.
