Neosaurs
The brief:
Being primarily Indie focused, I was bowled over to get an enquiry from the powerhouse that is Microsoft Game Studios, and to say that I was excited would be a gargantuan understatement! The project was Neosaurs, a stunning new online game that they were launching, and one that they needed a whole new site to encapsulate! When I was provided with the artwork for the game, I fell head over heels in love, its SO pretty! The direction was obvious from the outset, it was simply a case of getting stuck in!
The solution:
With the artwork being so powerful, working with it was a pleasure! I spent some time in the game before its release and got to know the characters and setting a little better before diving into the game, as I wanted to portray the games feel as best I could. It was key, as with all my games sites, that the site had to be an extension of the game experience. To feel like part of a singular unified experience. I was soon on the right path and the new look was welcomed with open arms. We moved onto a selection of the subpages and I can honestly say that this project was bloody awesome. The guys at Microsoft were a blast, what a superb project!
FI-Faves...
The Palms Hotel
Oh yeah, now this was great, a big glossy casino in Vegas, I mean come on, it doesn't get a whole lot cooler than that! This place is all about partying, glitz, Playboy Bunnies, money and bright lights.
Black Jacket Studios
As I absolutely love the creative direction of Black Jacket Studios first game, Metal Drift, I was really excited to create a brand that would slot into this feel. Very much my cup of tea!
Twittering
@DamienMcFerran Maybe not to this extent, but I'm sure Nintendo are used to leading the handheld charge...has anyone ever outsold them? more...
